Canvas Trio Amsterdam, Netherlands
The piano trio of Orestis Petrakis (piano), Pedro Ferreira (double bass) and Nick Thessalonikefs (drums) was formed in
Amsterdam.
The compositions are written by all three members, for which they bring each one their individual contribution. Being influenced not only by jazz but also folk, greek and Brazilian music, their compositions are strongly based on « cantabile » melodies and polyrythms.
